The Acquisition Community of Practice includes professionals engaged in acquisition, contracting, logistics, supply chain management, sustainment, life-cycle support, and related mission-support functions, including those who integrate security, risk management, and compliance considerations into acquisition and logistics operations. The COP serves as a cross-agency, senior-executive-focused forum that elevates strategic acquisition issues, fosters collaboration, and strengthens the leadership pipeline across the federal acquisition workforce. Goals: 1. Advance acquisition and logistics excellence by fostering continuous learning, professional development, and the sharing of innovative practices that enhance mission effectiveness and operational readiness. This may include workshops, case studies, peer exchanges, and thought-leadership products. 2. Promote cross-organizational collaboration through recurring Community of Practice engagements focused on acquisition planning, logistics execution, sustainment optimization, and risk management across the program life cycle. 3. Develop future acquisition leaders by partnering with federal stakeholders to identify, prepare, and retain high-potential talent for senior leadership and executive-level roles.
